OSRS Zalcano Guide

Zalcano is a non-combat skilling boss that was added onto the OSRS platform along with the ‘Song of the Elves’ update. Honestly, it’s already titled as one of the best methods to make OSRS GP, and it is also a genuine source to earn experience in Mining, Smithing, and Rune Crafting. If you want to know how to efficiently defeat the boss and similarly learn how to strategically increase your experience, as we as drop rates, then continue to read further.

General Information

The boss Zalcano osrs is basically Skotizo’s sister, and she was captured by the elf race during the time God Wars. She is contained within her chamber that is beneath the city of Prifddinas, and players can without much trouble, enter the arena to fight against her. Her bodily structure is of stone, and she can only be defeated with the help of a pickaxe. In other words, when her defenses are low, you’ll have to use your mining skill on her and kill her.

Everyone who has helped in defeating the boss will receive drops from her, but it’ll entirely depend upon how much you’ve contributed. The player who has performed the most actions and damage will receive a special bonus reward. Similarly, the chance to obtain the pet is only for the winning player.

Strategy

You have to be cautious while fighting against Zalcano osrs, as she can attack players with various attack forms. The whole idea or concept is to obtain an Imbued Tephra that can be thrown at her to bring down her defenses. The item can be obtained through a three-step process including Mining, Smithing, and Rune Crafting. While going through these processes, ensure that you’re strategically avoiding her attacks.

To start off this part of the zalcano guide, you must run towards the corner of the room where a glowing rock formation is visible. You’ll have to mine it and run to the furnace that is to the east. Once the refined Tephra has been made with the help of the furnace, you must run towards the altar (western part of the room) and turn the item into an Imbued Tephra using your Rune Crafting skills. Now, you have to wield the Imbued Tephra and throw it at the boss (the other party members will do the same) so that her defenses can be lowered. You can increase your accuracy by standing on top of the blue appearing circle. Once her defenses are lowered, you’ll notice the signal where you have to use your pickaxe to mine her and deal damage. This process needs to be repeated until she is defeated.

During the battling phase, she will also summon a Golem, who has the ability to restore her damaged health. To prevent this from happening, you and your team have to use Imbued Tephra on it. You don’t want to worry about saving them up, because the Golem will drop a good amount of Tephra’s once it is defeated.

Since it’s not a safe battle, you’ll have to dodge the attacks from Zalcano, but first, you must understand the attacks that she uses. Let’s have a look. When she stomps the ground, boulders will fall from the ceiling, but you can easily dodge them by watching over their shadows and where they’re about to fall. When the demonic circles are summoned, make sure that you don’t walk over the orange ones because it’ll cause a good amount of damage. Steer clear from the rocks when required, because when the mining location changes, she will throw a glowing red ball at the next available rock location. Finally, always keep your HP at peak, because Zalcano can throw pebbles at the player and cause low but unavoidable damage.

Recommended Gear

Since you don’t need any special armor or weapons for defeating the boss, there are numerous setups that players approach. The focus is mostly to equip a gear that preserves the run energy or improves the efficiency in mining. So, to free up some inventory space, it’s best that you go with Graceful Outfit, rather than Stamina Potions. Along with it, you can opt for Dragon Pickaxe or Crystal Pickaxe, and Prayer Book or Falador Shield. In terms of HCM (Hardcore Ironmen), it’s best that you keep a Phoenix Necklace with you because it isn’t a safe mini-game.

OSRS 1 to 99 Farming Guide

Farming is an OSRS resource skill that you can build up by harvesting various crops and planting seeds. The crops range from herbs to mushrooms, hops, trees, vegetables, and cacti. The harvested products can be used in several ways to enhance levels of other skills. For instance, Herblore uses farming end products to create potions.

Woodcutting also has a nice synergy with Farming. How? Well, the allotments that you farm in are accessible only to you. So, if you grow trees and such, you can cut them down for Woodcutting XP and logs.

The only drawback is that you have to wait for the seeds to grow, which obviously takes time. You could consider training another skill till then. A plus point is that crops continue to grow even if you log out. So, you don’t really have to stick around in the game.

Working your way around Farming?

Before you begin the grind to achieving level 99, you need to grab a proper set of Farming tools. The set consists of a Rake, Spade, Watering Can, Seed Dibber, Gardening Trowel, Plant Pot, and Secateurs. You can purchase them from any Farming Store.

You’ll need to keep four things in mind. The crop you’re planting, the location, the time taken to reach the harvesting point, and how to take care of your crops. You can protect crops from catching a disease by utilizing cure potions on them.

Level 1 to 17

You can start by completing the Fairytale Part 1 quest as it grants 3,500 Farming XP, allowing you to skip the early boring levels. You’ll get straight to level 17 once you completed the quest. There’s no real requirement to begin Fairytale part 1 so start whenever you’re ready.

Alternatively, you can grow crops. We recommend training your Magic to a higher level so that you can use spells to assist you while training. For instance, Cure Plant removed plant diseases, Resurrect Crops revives dead plants, and Geomancy displays the current status of your crops.

Levels 1 to 15

At level 1, you can start planting Potato Seeds for 98 XP per harvest. Similarly, switch to Onion Seeds for 114.5 XP at level 5, followed by Cabbage Seeds at level 7 for 125 XP, and Tomato Seeds for 152.5 XP at level 12.

Tree Runs

Moving forward, you can start planting Trees, which is the most viable means to gain stacks of XP. To begin a run, you need to head to a Tree Path in either Varrock, Falador, Lumbridge, Taverly, or Gnome Stronghold. Once you’re there, pay the farmers depending on the seed you wish to plant.

Level 15 to 30+

At level 15, Oak Trees would be your best option to reach level 30, after which you’ll have the following choices. You can start growing Banana, Apple, Orange, Curry, or Pineapple Trees. You can always consider other fruit trees for better XP; however, the ones mentioned are budgeted appropriately for base players.

Level 57+

The Trees you plant between levels 57 to 80 can vary. You can either stick to Papaya Trees all the way or switch to Palm Trees at Level 68 and continue till you max out. Alternatively, you can plant Magic Trees for better XP rates.

Conclusion

Now that you know your way around Farming and how it can be trained, you can achieve the levels you desire. Then again, how you approach it depends entirely upon you and your budget. Good luck!

If you are tired of repetitive work, I would recommend buying osrs gold or osrs power leveling service to speed up the process.

Runescape: The Pit Review

Agility is most definitely one of the most unpopular skills in Runescape. This is for good reason considering that the skill is held back by boring courses that offer no real variety. The Pit Distraction amp; Diversion is designed to encourage more players to train their Agility levels by completing courses to catch the eye of a talent scout who now oversees every course. So what exactly does this talent scout have in store for you?

As I said earlier, Agility is not a very popular skill when it comes to the Runescape community. However, this new Distraction was made to make things a little more interesting. After completing one of the many agility courses around Runescape, a talent scout will eventually give you his attention so that he could take you to, you guessed it, The Pit. I should note that it’s gonna take you a while to get his attention so sit back and watch your Agility experience go up a little bit. However, if you’re wearing an Agility skillcape, you can just go up to the scout and he’ll let you right in but your reward will be smaller. Here, you will be greeted by two men and a different type of agility course. This different type of agility course is called an event and there are currently six of them. The events range from guessing numbers to punching sheep. It sounds ridiculous but it’s pretty fun and you gain a good amount of experience. If you fail to properly execute an event, the amount of experience you gain will be lower. Fair enough. If you successfully complete an event, you will be given the option to gamble your experience for more or just leave and accept your reward. It’s a nice little addition to spice things up. It should also be known that you must wait at least an hour to be called up for another event. It’s a good idea since these events have the possibility of getting really repetitive. Who would want to replay the same event over three times within an hour?

PROS:

  • Agility finally gets some love.
  • The events can be really fun.

CONS:

  • There are only six events.

Overall Thoughts and Rating:
I’m sure people are going to look at The Pit as a glorified random event. However, take into consideration what an unpopular skill Agility is, I’ll let it slide. Better yet, I’ll just welcome this new little addition with open arms.
